Quinn L. McKenna - Chief Operating Officer
Quinn McKenna is the Chief Operating Officer at the University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics, in Salt Lake City, Utah, which is a four hospital system with 11 multi-specialty sites of practice. Mr. McKenna has 25 years of leadership experience in a variety of health care organizations. In his current role, Mr. McKenna is responsible for working with the executive team to develop strategies to ensure the hospital’s ongoing financial viability and fulfill its safety, satisfaction, and quality priorities.
During Mr. McKenna’s career, he has served in senior executive positions in a variety of organizations. Prior to coming to the University of Utah Hospital, he was also the Chief Operating Officer at the University of Washington in Seattle and Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. Prior to these roles he also served as operations administrator with the Sisters of Providence. His career has emphasized strategic program development and operational accountability. Early in his career Mr. McKenna also served for 10 years as a management consultant to more than a dozen of the country’s premier academic medical centers. This experience also emphasized strategic program development and operational accountability.
Mr. McKenna earned his Master of Health Administration from the University of Washington and also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from the Utah State University, as well as a minor in economics.
