Animal Assisted Therapy/Pet Partner Teams

Purpose

To provide certified therapy teams to provide assistance with goal directed therapies and to provide pet visits to patients and families at the University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics.

Reports To

Manager for community Outreach & Volunteer Services

Days/Hours

Vary based on assignments/need

Qualifications

  • Must have current certification through the Delta Society and Intermountain Therapy Animals

  • Must maintain patient and hospital confidentiality

  • Must follow requirements of specified departments

  • Must demonstrate good customer service skills

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide goal-directed animal assisted therapy or activity

  • Provide visitation service for patients, families, or staff
