Wayne Imbrescia is the Executive Director for the University of Utah John A. Moran Eye Center. The Moran Eye Center is the largest eye care and vision research center between the Missouri River and the West Coast. The center and its eleven satellite locations hosted more than
100,000 patient visits and 5,000 surgical procedures this past year.
Wayne provides senior administrative leadership in the areas of clinical operations, research, education, and community outreach. As a member of the University Hospitals and Clinics Administrative Council he participates in various committee and project assignments.
Wayne's entire 33 years of professional experience has been dedicated to Ophthalmology in various technical and administrative positions both in for profit and not for profit organizations. Prior to joining the University in 1986, Wayne directed the Medical Imaging Services at the King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Wayne received his Bachelors' in Mass Communication and his Masters' in Public Health and Health Services Administration from the University of Utah.
