Our Program

The mission of the Pancreas Cancer Research Program (PCRP) at Huntsman Cancer Institute is to reduce suffering from pancreas cancer and improve survival rates for patients with the disease.

Three goals evolve from this mission: preventing pancreas cancer, detecting it early, and improving treatment options.

In the Pancreas Cancer Research Program, specialist researchers and clinicians work together to learn more about the genetic and other factors that contribute to this disease. They are searching for ways to advance screening for and diagnosing pancreas cancer in its early stages, when it can be treated more successfully. The new knowledge translates into new treatments and diagnostic methods.
