Community-Based Fitness Activities
After participants attain a base level of fitness, they are encouraged to attend seasonal activities sponsored by the Wellness-Survivorship Center:
- Zumba® classes
- road biking
- fly fishing
- resistance training
Through these activities, participants increase their fitness levels as well as enjoy the company of others coping with a cancer diagnosis.
The Huntsman Hometown Heroes program is designed to help participants reach their endurance goals while raising much-needed funds for cancer research at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). Participants agree to raise a minimum amount of money while receiving a guaranteed spot in some of the best events in Utah.
Activities are open to all current and past Huntsman Cancer Institute patients. To make an appointment, call the POWER program at 801-587-4585 or leave a message at 801-339-2613.
