Multidisciplinary Disease Groups
Our cancer care teams bring specialists from different disciplines together for weekly meetings and treatment planning conferences. Each team includes oncology, radiology, and surgery specialists, nurses, social workers, genetic counselors, dietitians, health educators, and researchers who work side-by-side to assist with the most effective treatment plan for each individual. Patients and their loved ones are an important part of this decision-making partnership.
Huntsman Cancer Institute's cancer care teams (also called Multidisciplinary Disease Groups) focus on these areas:
- Blood and Marrow Transplant
- Investigational Therapeutics
- Head and Neck
- Supportive Oncology and Survivorship
