Project MERIT

Project MERIT

Do you want to help us prevent melanoma?

If so, the Project MERIT research team from the University of Utah needs you!

The purpose of the Project MERIT study is to develop new educational materials that provide information about melanoma risk and prevention to children and their families.

If you are willing to participate, we will ask you to come to the University of Utah to complete a questionnaire and review our melanoma educational materials with one of our staff. This will take roughly 2 hours of you and your child’s time. You will also be asked to complete a questionnaire approximately 1 month later. You and your child will be compensated as a thank you for your time and effort.

We are looking for adults and their children to participate in this study. Eligible adults will have a personal and/or family history of melanoma. We are also looking for adults without a personal or family history of melanoma.

Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a research project that will help create education materials for families at high risk for melanoma. Participants will be compensated for their time and effort.

This study is being conducted through the University of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Institute. It is for research purposes only and is not intended to treat any medical condition.
