Illumina Sequencing

The High Throughput Genomics Core Facility currently has three Illumina HiSeq instruments and one MiSeq. Additional instruments to support the Illumina sequencing platform include an Illumina cBot, a Fluidigm C1 Single-Cell Auto Prep System, a Covaris Adaptive Focused Acoustics Model S2, a NanoDrop Spectrophotometer, an Agilent Technologies 2200 TapeStation, two Invitrogen Qubit 2.0 Fluorometers, an Agilent Technologies Bravo Liquid Handling System, a Bio-Rad CFX Connect Real Time System and eight Bio-Rad thermal cyclers. The Core Facility is operated as a full service facility that provides expertise in experimental handling for the entire process of Illumina sequencing including evaluating sample quality, performing Illumina library construction, qualification of sequencing libraries by qPCR, and sequence analysis on an Illumina HiSeq or MiSeq instrument. Guidelines and options for Illumina sequencing applications supported by the Core Facility are provided below:
