Miners Hospital staff meet with representatives from the mining community, mining associations, health services, senior centers, and local governments to discuss services of the Miners Hospital. Health education programs related to miners' health issues have been presented in Price, Helper, Magna, and Delta, Utah. A 2-day conference on alcohol and substance abuse in the workplace has been presented for the past two years on the University of Utah campus in conjunction with the School on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies. Another substance abuse conference is planned for June 23 & 24th, 2009 on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City. See Upcoming Seminars.
