Neuro-Ophthalmology involves both neurology and ophthalmology specialties concerning visual impairments that are associated or originate from the nervous system. At the Moran Eye Center we are equipped to diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological and visual disorder.

- Compressive optic neuropathy
- Facial movement disorder (blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm)
- Gaze palsies and nystagmus
- Ischemic optic neuropathy (including temporal arteritis)
- Migraines and FL-41 Tinted Lenses
- Myasthenia gravis
- Ocular motor nerve disorders
- Optic neuritis (including multiple sclerosis)
- Papilledema (including pseudotumor cerebri)
- Pituitary tumors
- Post traumatic visual disorders
- Thyroid eye disease
- Unexplained facial and eye pain
- Unexplained visual loss
- Botulinum injections for blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, migraine
- Electroretinogram (ERG) including multi-focal ERG
- Evaluation of paralytic strabismus and thyroid ophthalmoplegia
- Infrared pupillography and recording
- Optic nerve function tests (contrast sensitivity, flicker, color testing)
- Optic nerve sheath decompression for papilledema and progressive ischemia
- Optic neuropathy
- Pharmacologic pupil testing
- Temporal artery biopsy
- Tensilon testing
- Visual evoked potentials; auditory evoked potentials
