Meet the Chef
It is my goal to serve food at the Hospital that people will recommend to anyone, at anytime, anywhere!
The opportunity to complete my circle of experience into the last frontier of Food Service - the Health Care arena - was realized when I accepted the position of Executive Chef at the University Hospital. Many menu items are now made from scratch with the best ingredients available today. Varying the menus is a challenge the staff here welcomes. The new team of Bakers, Chefs, Cooks and Pantry professionals make it possible every day.
My passion for food has included experience in:
- Mid Gad restaurant at Snowbird
- Silver Lake Lodge and Cafe Mariposa in Deer Valley
- a Curry restaurant in Eugene, Oregon
- Bakeries and steak houses in Jackson Hole
In Salt Lake City I have enjoyed:
- opening Ruby's Cafe & Catering in the Avenues
- working at Dan's Foods
- opening Kap's Kitchen & Pantry for American Stores
After extensive testing, I became a Certified Executive Chef in 1996 while working for American Stores. Rounding out my experience in the Food Service industry as a distributor, broker and in Research and Development for new food items available on a fresh made basis to retailers from Coast to Coast.
