Epileptologist / Comprehensive Epilepsy Center

The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, University of Utah Department of Neurology seeks two posotions with appointment at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank depending upon qualifications.  Appropriate candidates at the full Professor level will be able to assume Directorship of the CEC. Must be BE/BC in Neurology and Neurophysiology.  Experience or interest in intraoperative monitoring and/or MEG is strongly desired. Primary duties include routine ambulatory and video-EEG interpretation, intraoperative monitoring, evaluation and management of epilepsy patients, participation in epilepsy surgery evaluations, and teaching. The individual will join three epileptologists and two nurse practitioners in the only comprehensive epilepsy program serving a multi-state referral area.  The program includes a six bed video-EEG unit, daily intraoperative monitoring cases, and excellent neuroradiological support.  Opportunities are available to join or develop clinical and basic research efforts in clinical epilepsy with investigators in Physiology and Bioengineering or within the NIH funded drug-screening program in Pharmacology.  Two positions are available.
