Clinical Neurosciences Center

Neurointensivist / Intensivist

The University of Utah School of Medicine seeks NEUROINTENSIVISTS OR INTENSIVISTS with strong interest in neurocritical care to join two faculty members in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit.  The appointment will be made jointly with departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery, and may be at the assistant or associate professor rank in the clinical or tenure track, depending upon qualifications.  This is an extraordinary opportunity with the planned expansion of the neurocritical care unit from 13 to 25 beds. The unit is staffed by a core of experienced neurologic nurses, educators, and technicians. Join existing neurointensivists and neurosurgeons with a wide range of subspecialties together with neurology and neurosurgery house staff to advance the care of patients for a four state region.  Opportunities are available for clinical and/or basic research in the field.  Applicants should be eligible to sit for the neurocritical care boards. Two positions are available.

Clinicians and clinician/scientists are welcome to apply. The University of Utah is recipient of a CTSA award by the NIH and welcomes joint applications with the Molecular Medicine Program for neurologists with bench research in the beginning or intermediate stages.

Interested individuals should contact the Department of Neurology at 801-585-2886 or by email at linda.tanner@hsc.utah.edu.

The University of Utah is an OEO/AA employer and encourages applications from women and minorities.
