Clinical Neurosciences Center
Imaging - X-Ray
The Clinical Neurosciences Center uses x-ray - invisible electromagnetic energy beams that produce internal images of the body - to diagnose an array of injuries and disorders of the head, neck, and spine.
An x-ray of the skull may be needed to assist our physicians in the diagnoses of fractures of the skull, birth defects, tumors, and other disorders causing bone defects. Similarly, x-rays of the spine, neck, or back may be performed to diagnose back or neck pain, fractures or broken bones, arthritis, the dislocation or slipping of vertebral disks, disk degeneration, tumors, or abnormalities in the alignment of the spine.
