Bisson Joins Clinical Neurosciences and Spine Center
Dr. Erica Bisson is Center's Newest Neurosurgery Spine Specialist

SALT LAKE CITY – Erica Bisson, MD, has joined the University of Utah Department of Neurosurgery opening her practice specializing in spine care and spinal surgery. Dr. Bisson completed a fellowship in spine surgery, preparing her to handle the complete range of spinal cases. Her special interests include occipitocervical disease, spinal fusion and image-guided surgery.
As faculty in the Clinical Neurosciences and Spine Center, Dr Bisson will see patients at the University of Utah Health Care South Jordan Health Center, located at 1091 West South Jordan Parkway. She will also see patients and perform surgeries at the University of Utah Hospital and Clinical Neurosciences and Spine Center on the University campus.
The Clinical Neuroscience and Spine Center provides comprehensive spinal surgery and spine care, from initial diagnosis through post-treatment and rehabilitation, which includes both non-surgical and surgical options for care. The physicians and staff of the Spine Center are trained to manage and treat all types of spine and spine-related disorders – from the more common to the most complex. Our team of expert spine neurosurgeons includes specialists in cervical, thoracic and lumbar degenerative spine conditions. This includes advanced treatments for cervical and lumbar disc herniations and lumbar spinal stenosis. In addition, neurosurgeons in the Spine Center care for patients with complex degenerative spinal conditions, such as adult spinal deformity and scoliosis. The Spine Center's physicians have specific expertise in the management of spine and spinal cord disorders, and also treat spine fractures and spinal cord injuries.
Having completed her fellowship in spine neurosurgery at the University of Utah, Dr. Bisson is excited to return to Salt Lake City to provide comprehensive spine care to the community she has grown to love. Dr. Bisson was most recently Senior Staff in the Department of Neurosurgery at the prestigious Lahey Clinic (Burlington MA) and Department of Surgery at Emerson Hospital (Concord, MA).
