Plan now to attend the XIth International Single Fiber and Quantitative EMG Course and Workshop.  Ideal for physicians, including clinical neurophysiology fellows, from the fields of Neurology and
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.


Faculty: Erik Stålberg (Uppsala, Sweden), Donald Sanders (Durham, NC), Janice Massey (Durham, NC), Sanjeev Nandedkar (Madison, WI), Mark Bromberg (Salt Lake City, UT)

Course Learning Objectives:
• Understand the principles of SFEMG, macroEMG, QEMG and MUNE
• Hands-on experience with these techniques
• Understand diagnostic use of these techniques
• Interpret data from these techniques
There will be patient demonstrations of pathologic findings

Preliminary Program:
17 September (Thursday) arrive

18 September (Friday)
Morning: Introductory lectures
- Single Fiber EMG principles
- Single Fiber EMG measurement of jitter, fiber density, macroMUAP
                  - Quantitative EMG principles
                  - Quantitative EMG measurement of motor units, interference pattern
                  - Motor Unit Number Estimation principles
Afternoon: Workshop

19 September (Saturday)
Morning: Workshop with patient demonstration of pathologic findings
Afternoon: Practice of SFEMG and QEMG, equipment, pitfalls, reporting, case presentations
