| Qualifications: |
| Current licensure to practice as a Physician's Assistant from the State of Utah; and current Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support certification required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required. Utah State prescriptive privileges preferred. To obtain licensure requires graduation from an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. Specialty experience preferred on a position by position basis. UHPPM 1-56 requires that newly hired non-physician providers apply for credentialing and privileging at the time of hire. |

| Responsibilities: |
| Pre & post operative care including ICU and step down car, H&P, consult, discharge. 1st and 2nd assist in operating room. Endoscopic vein harvesting, arterial line placement, IABP placement, chest insertion and removal, IABP insertion and removal, central line placement. Performs physical exams, orders lab tests, xrays, special imaging studies and other diagnostic procedures. Monitors the level of and adjusts immunosuppresive medications. Orders and supervised the administration of blood products. Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management. |
