| Qualifications: |
| Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah. Nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner as required under State Law. Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card or obtain one within one month of hire; and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required. Demonstrated clinical competence and in-depth knowledge of specialty area; and demonstrated leadership, teaching, research and communication skills are required. Utah State prescriptive privileges preferred. Licensure is obtained by completing a Master's degree in Nursing or equivalency (the only equivalency to the Master's degree is current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner) and a National Certification which requires the successful completion of a nationally accredited examination. UHPPM 1-56 requires that newly hired non-physician providers apply for credentialing and privileging at the time of hire. |

| Responsibilities: |
| Pre & post operative care including ICU and step down car, H&P, consult, discharge. 1st and 2nd assist in operating room. Endoscopic vein harvesting, arterial line placement, IABP placement, chest insertion and removal, IABP insertion and removal, central line placement. Performs physical exams, orders lab tests, xrays, special imaging studies and other diagnostic procedures. Monitors the level of and adjusts immunosuppresive medications. Orders and supervised the administration of blood products. Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management. |
