Dr. Darrel S. Brodke
I am Professor and Vice Chairman of the University of Utah Department of Orthopaedics. I direct the Orthopaedic Spine Program and have a joint appointment in Neurosurgery. I specialize in degenerative conditions and traumatic injuries of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. My primary clinical interests are cervical spine disorders and complex spine reconstruction. My research interests are in the area of spinal biomechanics. I received my M.D. at the University of California, San Francisco, completed an Orthopaedic residency at the University of Wisconsin and a Fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. I had a two year private practice with the Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group from 1995-1997 and am a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the North American Spine Society, Cervical Spine Research Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
