Dr. James W. Roach
I am a Professor in Research. I joined the Department of Orthopaedics in March, 2001 after serving as the Assistant Chief of Staff at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas and the Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cook’s Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. My orthopaedic interests include spine deformities, hip deformities and leg lengthening. I am the Chief of Staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children, Salt Lake City. My educational background includes a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC and an MBA from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. I completed my residency in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Tripler Army Hospital and a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
