About Knee Revision

For people suffering from knee pain, knee revision is a treatment option that can improve the quality of life. The use of artificial knee implants is extremely effective in improving knee joints that are damaged by injury or from arthritis. Most knee replacements will perform well for the rest of the patient’s life. Some problems with the joint may occur, such as wear, loosening, infection and dislocation. These problems can cause the knee to be painful and swollen as well as lose functionality. Knee revision surgery is a procedure to repair the problems occurring with the replacement and return to activity.
