Statement/Mission

Physical Therapy

The University of Utah Sports Medicine Center and Physical Therapy Clinic is a dynamic and progressive outpatient rehabilitation center. It is our objective to provide quality patient care through proficient clinical evaluation methods and by restoring or enhancing function within each individual patient. Recognizing this ideal, Physical Therapists strive to optimize physical function through clinical knowledge and a mastery of skills. The Physical Therapist also serves as an educator and assumes leadership roles in orthopaedic and sports medicine rehabilitation, prevention and health maintenance programs within the clinic setting and in the community.

To provide the highest quality patient care in orthopaedic and sports physical therapy at a reasonable cost accessible to the patient.

To provide leadership and consultation for clinical decision making in orthopaedic physical therapy in cooperation with the health care team responsible for the patients well being.
