Pediatric Palliative Care
The Rainbow Kids Palliative Care Program is an interdisciplinary consultation service for children with a life-threatening illness and their families. The team is specially trained to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual issues faced during chronic illness and at death.
Our experienced team has compassion and understanding to work with you and your physician to help find the path that is best for your child and your family.
Our Pediatric Palliative Care Services are provided through the Rainbow Kids Palliative Care Program.
Common problems addressed by the team include:
- Medical decision making
- Setting goals of care
- Facilitating communication between the patient/family and the health care team
- Advance care planning
- Symptom management for chronically ill and dying children
- Bereavement of parents and siblings
