Drug Information Service
The University of Utah Hospital's Drug Information Service (DIS) provides drug information to health care professionals affiliated with the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. The service is funded by University Hospitals & Clinics. The DIS enters into contracts to provide a variety of drug information services with institutions and corporations outside the University of Utah Health Sciences Center.

Professional Services
The Drug Information Service provides information relevant to specific patient drug-related situations. Staff members provide health care professionals with therapeutic recommendations based on current medical literature. Written responses are provided upon request. Our experts can thoroughly research your request and prepare a literature search using a variety of computer databases including PubMed and other databases available from the National Library of Medicine, International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, Science Citation, Biological Abstracts, and MICROMEDEX. If you need other services not specifically listed, please contact us. We would be glad to assist you however possible.
For clients outside of the University Hospitals & Clinics, please contact the Drug Information Service for fees that may apply to the services provided.
