PGY2 Pharmacy Residency
Program Description
The drug information residency program is a dynamic program with the flexibility to select activities that will complement the resident’s background and career goals. Residents will be involved in all aspects of the Drug Information Service activities. During the one-year program, residents have the opportunity to: respond to drug information requests, prepare drug monographs for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, develop drug policy, coordinate the Drug Information Service operations, precept residents and pharmacy students on drug information rotations, manage national drug shortages, and conduct monograph projects for contract clients. A wide variety of elective rotations are available including Utah Poison Control Center, pharmaceutical industry, pharmacy administration, clinical pharmacy practice, institutional group purchasing, Investigational Drug Studies Program, or other rotations that fit in the resident’s career path.
