Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Microtia
In this condition a child’s outer ear (pinna) is underdeveloped, most often on one side only. Children with microtia usually have hearing loss, but the inner ear is quite often normally formed. Plastic and reconstructive surgeons can reconstruct the ear and advise you if more of the ear than the outside is damaged. Our teams of specialists provide every aspect of care throughout the surgical and rehabilitative process.
