The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Division provides comprehensive consultation and management services to patients in and out of the University Healthcare System. These patients often have diverse medical rehabilitation needs including back and neck injuries, spinal cord trauma, brain injury, amputations, multiple trauma, stroke, cardiac and pulmonary disorders, cancer, burns, industrial accidents, sports injuries, arthritis, chronic pain, neuromuscular disorders and neuropathies. The medical staff includes board certified physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and residents receiving training in the ACGME accredited program.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians use an array of appropriate therapies and proven treatment approaches with the goal of decreasing pain, minimizing disability, restoring function, and returning patients to their homes and communities.
