Pediatrics
The pediatric rehabilitation physicians treat children with neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions at Primary Children’s Medical Center. The goal is to help children gain function lost through injury, illness, or disabling conditions. Through improving function, health and emotional well being, they help children participate more fully in family, recreational, social and school activities. The PCMC Pediatric Rehabilitation clinic has a comprehensive spasticity management program which includes oral medications, intramuscular injections, baclofen pump management and evaluation for selective dorsal rhizotomy. The clinic also manages children with behavioral and cognitive difficulties related to brain injury. When children reach the age of 18, they are followed at the University of Utah PM&R Clinic.
