ADD-ADHD

Family Genetic ADHD Study

Currently we are looking for families with two or more individuals diagnosed with ADHD to participate in a family genetic study. Participants will undergo an interview with one of our psychiatrists and give a DNA sample (blood or saliva) for further testing on family genetics in ADHD. Bipolar Disorder

Adolescent Bipolar Study

In this study we are looking for adolescents between the ages of 10 and 17 years old. The adolescent must currently be in an episode of either manic, depression or mixed bipolar. The subject also must currently be on a stable treatment regimen (a mood stabilizer and/or antipsychotic medication). We will be adding a medication as an add on therapy to the childs current treatment regimen. The study lasts approximately 36 weeks (9 months) and consists of weekly and biweekly visits to our clinic. The childs legal guardian must be present at all visits. Second Adolescent Bipolar Study

We are looking for adolescents between the ages of 10-17 years old. In order to qualify, patients must be diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder, be currently depressed and have at least one manic episode in the past. The medication we are testing is a combination therapy medication. The study lasts approximately 12 weeks (3 months) and will consist of weekly and biweekly visits to our clinic. The childs legal guardian must be present at all visits. Please contact our clinic if you are interested, or would like to know more about this study.

Adult Bipolar Study

We are currently conducting a study for adults ages 18-65 years old. In order to qualify, patients must be currrently diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and have medication treatment during at least two manic or mixed episodes in the past. The patient must also be currently depressed, and may not be diagnosed with rapid cycling (4 or more episodes in the last year). The medication we are using is a naturally occuring substance in the human body. The study lasts 3-4 months and has a total of 11 weekly and biweekly visits.
