Avalanche, Winter Survival Training for U AirMed Flight Teams

More than 40 flight nurses, paramedics, and pilots of University of Utah Hospitals AirMed team will train in winter survival skills Saturday at Jordanelle State Park. Salt Lake Search and Rescue and Solitude Ski Resort instructors will demonstrate and practice mountain orientation and avalanche safety. Flight crews also will learn techniques, including flight safety, surviving crash landings, signaling, fire starting, and snow-shelter building.
Media are welcome. Shelter and lunch will be provided.
