Sunil Sharma, M.D., professor of internal medicine at the University of Utah, has been appointed chief of the U of U's Division of Oncology, effective July 1, 2012.

(Salt Lake City) – Sunil Sharma, M.D., professor of internal medicine at the University of Utah, has been appointed chief of the U of U’s Division of Oncology. Sharma will officially take on this new position July 1, 2012.
Sharma has served as senior director of clinical research at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI), director of HCI’s Center for Investigational Therapeutics, and member of the Colon Cancer and Imaging, Diagnostics, and Therapeutics program at HCI.
“Dr. Sharma is the person to catalyze further development in the division and we are very pleased to have him in this role,” says John Hoidal, M.D., professor and department chair of the U of U Department of Medicine.
