Neurological specialty
Because our therapists specialize in Neurological Physical Therapy they understand the unique needs of patients they are serving. Increased understanding by therapists has lead to better outcomes for patients as they are able to receive more appropriate care for helping them to overcome their functional limitations due to cancer.
Orthopedic specialty
Studies are showing the benefits of exercise as a rehabilitation intervention for cancer patients. Reported outcomes included improved fitness, reduced fatigue, increased enjoyment, enhanced mood and a sense of achievement. Huntsman Cancer Hospital has physical therapists with special knowledge of the musculoskeletal system. This training along with experience in working with cancer patients allows them to understand the unique needs and precautions of cancer patients.
