Patient and Visitor Information

Role of the Patient and Family Members

The rehabilitation team includes more than you, your physicians and staff. It includes family members and close friends. By joining you in therapy and attending classes, your family and friends become your support system.

Family and friends will play a key role for you during your rehabilitation. When you invite them in as a support system, they can become your advocates. Everyone benefits from strong advocacy and advocacy can be developed through knowledge and understanding of your circumstances. Invite your close support to participate in your rehabilitation program.

Family members are welcome any time during the day or evening to support the patient's efforts and to help them learn about their care. Because of the patient's full therapy schedule, non-family visitors are welcome during the following visiting hours:

  • Monday through Friday
    4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday
    12:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Special restrictions may apply for visitation. These are posted on the patient's door. Patients and visitors are welcome to use the Rehab Commons areas including the outdoor patio. The patient, their family, and friends can dine in the Wasatch Spectrum cafeteria or enjoy snacks at the Espresso Bar.
