Our Specialty Programs

The Rehabilitation Center at University Health Care is the only organization in Utah accredited by CARF for our Brain Injury Programs. Our Brain Injury Program accreditation includes 3 program accreditations: Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs for Adults, Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs for Adolescents, and Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs for Stroke Specialty Programs. Also our Community Rehabilitation Services (CRS) program is accredited for Home- and Community -Based Rehabilitation Programs. CRS specializes in Brain Injury rehabilitation. These accreditations can ensure you, our patients and families that the care you receive through the Rehabilitation Center is amongst the best in the nation.

The Rehabilitation Center at University Health Care provides an interdisciplinary program for individuals with brain injury. The Brain Injury Program strives to minimize the effects of cognitive and physical disabilities through patient centered and functionally oriented treatment. The Rehabilitation Center's goal is to return the individual to a productive lifestyle within their home and community. Individuals with a traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury experience a number of functional limitations that may include difficulty walking, speaking, or eating.
