Sports, Spine, & Musculoskeletal Program

The Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation offers the full spectrum of clinical care for spine, sports and musculoskeletal care. The physicians are all sub-specialty trained in the care of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries to supervise complete non-operative care, including therapy, medications and interventional procedures.

Conditions

  • Due to overuse
    • Carpal Tunnel syndrome
    • Patellofemoral syndrome
    • Lateral epicondylitis  (tennis elbow)
  • Due to one-time trauma
    • Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears
    • Rotator cuff tears
    • Sprains

What to Expect

The health care provider will assess using a detailed medical history and a physical examination.  A team of physicians, occupational and physical therapists, and the patient along with his or her family members will work together to design an appropriate and individualized program to reach the optimal outcome for the patient.  This outcome will involve a decrease in pain, improved mobility, and a reduced risk of further injury.
