Vision: To excel at teamwork and facilitating an open communicative environment.
Values: Quality of Service, Teamwork, Synergy, Efficiency and Professionalism.
The University of Utah Supply Chain exists to provide support to all departments in the procurement, management and distribution of supplies. The Supply Chain also provides resources and support to supply intensive departments through the Value Analysis program. This program uses data from a variety of sources to identify savings opportunities in supply expense while maintaining and improving quality of patient care through analysis and close communication with using departments. Additionally, the Supply Chain provides a central source for contracting and negotiating supply & purchased services agreements. In doing this the Supply Chain is working hard to reduce costs related to supplies & purchased services while delivering optimized processes and work flows in the supply chain management for our hospitals and community clinics.
Supply chain management processes continue to improve in the areas of contracting/sourcing, data management, product utilization, standardization, inventory management, product selection, procurement, distribution, and logistics.
