College of Nursing
Since 2003 the Utah Telehealth Network and the College of Nursing have been supporting PhD, Master and Nurse Practitioner students throughout the country. These students connect using desktop video equipment and attend classes on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The program commenced with one cohort of PhD students and has grown rapidly since. The spring 2009 semester has five (5) program groups with over ten (10) classes per week. UTN facilitates distance learning and in conjunction with the College of Nursing provides an opportunity for these students to attend the classes where geographic distance and cost would conventionally make it unviable.
