News and Updates about our Thrombosis Service
The University of Utah Thrombosis Service has undergone exciting change in the past quarter! These changes include the following:
- Relocation of one of our thrombosis clinics (University Health Care Thrombosis Center) to a beautiful new site in Research Park (on Arapeen Way).
- Hired an outstanding team of 3 nurses to manage our trauma and joint replacement thrombosis prevention program due to the growth of our service
- Hired Pam Proctor as our research and special projects manager
- Made strides in creation of patient education tools (more to come!)
- Created a warfarin education booklet for patients
- Created this website
- Been listed as a participating site in the IMPROVE trial publication in the journal CHEST!
