Lung Transplant
The University Health Care Lung Transplant Program is a comprehensive program serving adult patients with end-stage pulmonary disease. In January 1998 the Lung Transplant Program became a Medicare approved center.
Highly skilled professionals who possess in-depth clinical and scientific expertise in the field of transplantation medicine administer the Lung Transplant Program. The multidisciplinary transplant team includes pulmonologists, surgeons, registered nurse coordinators, dietitians, a licensed clinical social worker, pharmacists, and pulmonary rehabilitation specialists. The transplant team has extensive training and experience in all phases of care, from evaluation and selection of candidates through post-operative follow-up.
