Dedicated to the Prevention of Chemical Addiction and the Improvement of Patient Care through Research, Education and Clinical Training
The center employs state-of-the art research to:
- Advance the knowledge of chemical addiction diseases and their genotypic and phenotypic bases,
- Educate the health care and general community about associated risks, and
- Apply scientific discoveries to improve treatment and prevention of addiction.
The Addiction Research and Education Center has a new name! Utah Addiction Center.
We are still part of the University Health Sciences Center but serve all of Utah and the Intermountain West.
