Social Workers

Travis SorensonTravis Sorenson, LCSW

Travis earned his Master of Social Work degree from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Behavioral Science from Utah Valley University. His clinical approach includes but is not limited to systems theory, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and some Rogerian techniques. His personal interests include hiking, camping, fishing, sports, ballroom dancing, reading and anything else that can keep him active.  

Bethany LawrenceBethany Lawrence, CSW

Bethany earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from the University of Phoenix. She has many years of experience in the field of social work with an emphasis on child and family development. Prior to joining the HOME Program, Bethany worked with both the Division of Services for People with Disabilities and as a private support coordinator.

Sara LukerSara Luker, LCSW

Sara received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Illinois State University. Sara has worked with individuals with disabilities and their families in various settings over the years. Her clinical interests include play therapy, family therapy, and therapeutic groups.

Matt ChristensenMatthew Christensen, CSW

Matt received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University. Prior to joining the HOME program in 2013 he worked as a psychiatric technician at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute. His personal interests include reading, playing music, spending time outdoors and being with his family.

Bridget LundyBridget Lundy, LCSW

Bridget received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Portland. Bridget has worked with a variety of individuals across a variety of settings, with a focus on children, adolescents and families. Her clinical interests include play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and trauma-focused therapy.

stephanie o'brienStephanie Topolovec-O'Brien, MS

Stephanie joined the Neurobehavior HOME Program in February 2000 as a clinical child life/behavioral specialist. Her work with children and adolescents with complex health care needs has been her primary area of interest since she graduated from high school. She completed her master's degree in professional counseling from the University of Utah in Summer 2005 and is a licensed professional counselor. She provides behavioral and therapy services in the clinic. Her clinical interests include diagnostic accuracy, care coordination and play therapy.

Rachelle PetersonRachelle Peterson, MS

Shelly graduated from BYU in 2011 with a BS in special education. After one year of teaching she went on to pursue a MS in special education with an emphasis in applied behavior analysis from Utah State University. Shelly has been working with individuals with disabilities for eight years and has a passion for advocacy, equality and improving quality of life for people with disabilities. She began working with the HOME program in August, 2012 as an intern and starting working as a behavior specialist in May, 2013. She enjoys traveling, live music, fine art and classic literature.
