Recovery Works
An Intensive Outpatient Chemical Dependency Program for Adults
When you make a commitment to work a program and find a program that works...
Recovery Works!
Recovery Works is an intensive outpatient program for adults struggling with drug and alcohol problems. Patients work in group therapy four nights a week for eight weeks. (Monday - Thursday, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM). Weekly Aftercare support remains available to participants on an open ended basis following treatment completion.
Recovery Works will help you restore your confidence, competence and resiliency, enabling you to be successful with the challenges we all face at work and in our families. Group work is both process and educationally oriented, and draws on the expertise of social work, nursing, expressive/recreational therapies, psychiatry and Recovery Works alumni.
Recovery Works incorporates the philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous. Participants are expected to attend a minimum of one 12-Step meeting a week. Family work is another key feature to positive treatment outcomes. Participants are expected to include a family member, friend or significant other in family group which is held once a week.
Recovery Works is under the direction of a board certified psychiatrist. All group leaders are licensed professionals.
Criteria for admission include being medically clear and detoxified from alcohol and drugs. Participants will agree to random urinalysis. Regular attendance is required. Two unexcused absences will be grounds for discharge.
At the time of the initial evaluation, a University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute financial counselor will explain the cost of the program, determine whether available insurance will fund the intensive outpatient program, and discuss payment options.
