Mary A. Murray, M.D.

Mary A. Murray, M.D. Mary Murray is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she was an Associate Instructor in Biochemistry at the Terre Haute Center for Medical Education before receiving her M.D. Dr. Murray did her pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota. She completed her pediatric endocrinology fellowship, including a research fellowship, at Children's Hospital Medical Center at the University of Cincinnati. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. She also has certification from the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.

Dr. Murray has been a faculty member at Tufts University, Baystate Medical Center Children's Hospital and the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, in Springfield, Massachusetts where she directed the metabolic bone clinic. Her research continues to focus on metabolic bone disorders.

Dr. Murray has investigated the role of growth hormone and the insulin-like growth factor system in perinatal growth as well as IGF 1 in children with growth hormone resistance. At Baystate Medical Center, she was the local investigator for a Shriners' Hospital multi-center study of osteogenesis imperfecta. Dr. Murray shares a common interest with Dr. Laurie Moyer-Mileur in Neonatology in the application of densitometric techniques for the evaluation of bone health.
