Artificial insemination (AI or IUI) can be used for many kinds of fertility problems. It's a popular infertility treatment for men who have very low sperm counts or sperm that aren't strong enough to swim through the cervix and up into the fallopian tubes. Artificial insemination is also sometimes an option for women who have endometriosis or abnormalities of any of their reproductive organs. University of Utah Health Care Andrology Services provides several options for couples interested in collecting and preparing sperm for use in artificial insemination (IUI). In addition, other options are available for patients wishing to utilize donor semen.

Our andrology specialists work in close collaboration with the reproductive medicine specialists at the Utah Center for Reproductive Medicine to provide patients with the latest in IUI options and treatments. For more information about IUI, visit the Utah Center for Reproductive Medicine or consult with your primary care provider.
