Brief Summary

The main purpose of this study is to obtain information from the family members of patients who have been treated in either the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) or the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) by providing them with a written questionnaire/survey that contains multiple questions that evaluate their perception and satisfaction of care that was provided to their family member. 

The primary intent of the examination of the data collected will be to potentially identify areas for improvement or areas of concern related to the quality of care delivered in these areas. 

 

Inclusion Criteria

1. Family member of patients treated in the SICU or CVICU

2. Patients treated in the SICU and/or CVICU

Exclusion Criteria

Those family members that are unable to comprehend the questionnaire/survey because of language, cognitive, or cultural barriers.
