Dr. Pfitzner received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, completed his Pediatric residency at Arkansas Children´s Hospital, and his General Academic Pediatric Fellowship at the University of Utah. He has been a faculty member of the University of Utah Department of Pediatrics since 1995. He initially worked with the Division of General Pediatrics and the Teen Mother and Child Program, and then he worked with the Division of Inpatient Medicine where he was medical director of the Children’s Medical Unit at Primary Children’s Medical Center.
He is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and is the Director of the University of Utah Student Health Center. His specific clinical interests are adolescent and young adult medicine.
