In the fall of 1988 he joined the University of Utah, Department of Orthopaedics, and has been head of sports medicine since 1992. Dr. Burks practices at the University of Utah Orthopaedic Center and is in clinic on Monday and Thursday.

    I wasnt told the name of the procedure, or even how long I would have to be off work. I was just told Okay, we will schedule surgery. It would be helpful to know what the heck you were scheduling, how it was to be done, anything other than just walking out of the room and saying he will try to get his colleague to do it because hes booked.
