  • Holli Martinez is dually boarded as a Family Nurse Practitioner and an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. She was inducted as a Fellow in Palliative Care Nursing in 2015. Her clinical expertise spans the care of the seriously ill adult. She is the Advanced Practice Clinician Director of the Supportive and Palliative Care Program at the University of Utah Hospital and Huntsman Cancer Institute. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and will serve as President of the HPNA in 2022. Holli is also an adjunct faculty member in the University of Utah College of Nursing and lectures on palliative care topics for advance practice nursing students, social work and pharmacy students. In 2013, she was honored with the Sojourns Award of $50,000 from the Cambia Health Foundation and in 2014, she was honored with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, State of Utah Award for Excellence. She is one of the faculty members for UCoPE - Utah Certificate of Palliative Education which targets mid-career providers who are interested in learning generalist palliative care principles and a VitalTalk facilitator. Holli also sits on the University of Utah Hospital Ethics Committee.
