  • Natalie Heyrend Darro, DO, FAAP, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine in the Division of Pediatric Complex Care. Dr Darro cares for children with medical complexity and disabilities in the Comprehensive Care Program at Eccles Primary Children’s Outpatient Services Building as well as the Pediatric Transitional Care Program at South Davis Community Hospital.

    Dr. Darro earned her medical degree from Touro University Nevada, College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her Pediatric Residency at University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas, and her Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at University of California San Diego at Rady Children’s Hospital. Dr Darro is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care. She practiced for several years in a community PICU prior to joining the faculty in the Comprehensive Care program.

    Dr Darro’s clinical interests include providing consultative care for children with complex medical conditions and medical fragility with more specific interest in children who are recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury, have Congenital Heart Disease, have received transplants or are awaiting organ transplantation, have neurodegenerative disorders and children who are dependent on medical technologies.
