  • Terrence Bjordahl MD is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology and Dialysis/Wasatch Kidney Specialists. As a nephrologist his clinical interests are in dialysis care, renal transplant care, difficult to treat high blood pressure, electrolyte disorders, chronic kidney disease, and glomerular diseases.

    Dr. Bjordahl received his medical degree from The Ohio State University School of Medicine in 2001, and then finished his Internal Medicine Residency at University of Utah School of Medicine in 2004. He continued at University of Utah to complete a Nephrology Fellowship in 2007. Upon completion of his fellowship he joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Nephrology.

    He currently serves as the Medical Director of University of Utah’s West Valley Dialysis Center and co-director of Wasatch Kidney Specialists. His main office is based at St. Mark’s Hospital where he is involved in recruitment of patients for clinical trials and is serving as a co-investigator in the Systolic Blood Pressure Intervention Trial(SPRINT) trial. He also has offices at multiple other University community clinics including the Redstone clinic to serve Summit/Wasatch Counties. He takes care of patients at most of the hospitals in the Salt Lake Valley.

    Dr.Bjordal is very friendly and knowledgable. The internet was down during my entire visit so it was impossible to look at some prior information. His office contacted me the next morning with the information.

    Dr Bjordahl is outstanding! Thanks to his insights use of western and natural use of food as medicine he has supported [NAME REMOVED] health and her GRF has improved more than we thought possible - getting her off medications and improving the quality of her food diet this has helped her with much needed weight loss & nutrients.. this has improved all her health numbers!!! We could not be more thrilled with his guidance and assistance getting her off medications !! Thank you!!
